About

Eva Baker - Actor, Singer, Costume Designer

Eva Baker, based in Atlanta and DC, is a lover of all things theatre. As a child in Atlanta, GA, she started out in musical theatre camps and instantly fell in love with the art of performance. Most recently, Eva played Cicero, Trebonius, and others in a student-led production of Julius Caesar at American University, directed by Elena Zimmerman and produced by Lila-Rose Roberts. She also designed the costumes for the production as part of her senior capstone project.

During the summer of 2023, Eva attended the six-week acting intensive at the Prague Shakespeare Company in the Czech Republic, where she fell in love with classical acting. There, she starred as Hermia in a world-premiere musical adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Kiara Pipino and Linda Gates, and she played Young Lucius/Mutius in Titus Andronicus, directed by Claire Nichols and Kevin Hopkins, both of which were shows in their professional season. In May 2025, Eva will graduate with a BA in Theatre Performance from American University.

Eva is also active in American University’s classical theatre troupe, the Rude Mechanicals, where she played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet and Goneril in King Lear, among others.

On the weekends, Eva performs as beloved princess characters at children’s birthday parties with Glass Palace Parties. Through this company, she has also done special event meet and greets and has even worked with the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Eva has also starred in a number of student films. Some of her favorites were The Apple, directed by Mary Benedict (American University) and If I Go, directed by Rebecca Myers (UGA).

In her free time, Eva can be found crocheting, making beaded jewelry, drawing, reading Shakespeare plays, and making TikToks!
